MONTPELLIER AGGLOMÉRATION, SERVING THE METROPOLITAN AREA Montpellier Agglomeration is the administrative authority that is responsible for many aspects of everyday life and business in the greater Montpellier area. The Montpellier Agglomération area is comprised of the city Montpellier itself and 30 surrounding towns and cities of various sizes. This inter-urban cooperation provides local residents and economic activities with coordinated management of key resources and infrastructure programs such as:
- Urban planning and development
- Housing
- Public transportation (including tramway, bus, car and bicycle)
- Culture and sports (such as museums, libraries, swimming pools, stadiums, concert halls, world-class festivals...)
- Water, waste and natural resource management
- Local and intrnational economic development

Montpellier Méditerranée Technopole is the organization in charge of managing innovation and economic development. With a staff of 40 people, we help both local and foreign companies throughout their business lifecycle:
- Our Business Innovation Center (BIC), wich was designated best Incubator of the Year by NBIA (2007) and certified with the Soft Landings (2008-2010) label, supports entrepreneurs in transforming their ideas into projects, and their projects into viable revenue-generating companies.
- We leverage our excellence sectors, providing dedicated training sessions, events, trade-shows, conferences, business breakfasts, and more, to help companies network with each other, hire qualified people, find relevant technological and business partners, stay on top of prospect-related activities, and facilitate access to public and private sector funding.
- We manage 18 business parks and various business facilities that are available for lease, and can help companies match the right location with their business activity in and around Montpellier. Office space ranges from small modular units to extended real estate property.
- We nurture international partnerships to facilitate exports and help companies set-up their activities abroad.
